Before Your Service

Wax Services

Waxing is generally safe, but there are certain contraindications to consider:

1. Sunburned or Irritated Skin: Waxing can exacerbate irritation. Wait until the skin has healed.

2. Recent Chemical Peels: Avoid waxing if you've had a chemical peel in the last 7 days.

3. Recent Laser Treatments: Post-laser, wait at least two weeks before waxing.

4. Accutane or Retinoid Use: Users of these medications should refrain from waxing due to skin sensitivity.

5. Cold Sores/Fever Blisters: Active outbreaks increase the risk of infection; wait until they've healed.

6. Pregnancy: Hormonal changes during pregnancy may affect skin sensitivity; consult with your healthcare provider.

7. Recent Facial Surgery: Wait until your surgeon gives the green light.

8. Skin Infections or Disorders: Conditions like eczema or psoriasis may be aggravated by waxing.

Always inform your esthetician of any medical conditions or concerns to ensure a safe and effective waxing experience.

Waxing Services

1. Avoid Sun Exposure: Steer clear of direct sunlight for 24-48 hours post-waxing to prevent skin irritation.

2. No Hot Baths or Saunas: Skip hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 24 hours to avoid additional irritation.

3. Gentle Cleansing: Cleanse the waxed area with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser to keep the skin clean and free from bacteria.

4. Skip Harsh Skincare Products: Avoid using harsh exfoliants, alcohol-based products, or fragrances for a day or two.

5. No Tight Clothing: Wear loose-fitting clothing to prevent friction and irritation on the waxed area.

6. Avoid Touching: Refrain from touching or scratching the waxed area to prevent infection.

7. Moisturize: Hydrate the skin with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer to soothe and nourish.

8. No Gym or Sweating: Avoid vigorous exercise and excessive sweating for at least 24 hours.

9. Hair Growth Maintenance: Schedule your next waxing appointment based on your hair growth cycle, typically every 4-6 weeks.

10. Ingrown Hair Prevention: To prevent ingrown hairs, exfoliate the waxed area regularly, starting a few days after your waxing session.

*FOR BRAZILIANS*

11. Avoid sexual activity: The pubic area can be more sensitive and is more susceptible to irritation. Because the skin is more vulnerable right after waxing, the risk of bacteria and infection is significantly increased. Wait at least 24-48 hours before engaging in sexual activity.

3. Gentle Cleansing: After the initial 24-48 hours, cleanse the brow/lash area with a mild, non-oily cleanser.

7. No Excessive Touching: Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area excessively.

9. Avoid Waxing or Tweezing: Hold off on any additional brow grooming procedures for a few days after the treatment.

10. Hydrate and Protect: Moisturize the brow/lash area to keep the hair and skin hydrated, and consider using a brow/lash serum to enhance growth.

11. No Heat: Avoid heat treatments, such as saunas and steam rooms, for 48 hours.

12. Avoid Sleeping on Your Face: Try not to sleep on your face to maintain the lamination/lift.
